The Magnetic Core Construction
Cold Rolled, Grain Oriented, thin gauge annealed, non ageing high permeability steel lamination confirm to BS-601 coated with ash colored in organic, class ‘C' insulating material is slit and cut to length at 45°C angle to assure that will be smooth & burr free to form precisely inter leaved round cores with 10 to 15 number of steps to provide the lowest possible losses from of the effects of magnetic hysteretic and eddy currents. In assembly the legs with identical cross section of the magnetic circuit are compressed and held together by fiberglass thermosetting resin banding taps. The yokes of the magnetic circuit are held by robust channel clamping members, so that cores stay flat and stress free when they are set upright. The resultant core guarantees, low losses, a low no load current and a reduced noise level (Magnetic hum) For lifting the core, tie rods or the core clamping plates are used.
